Topo Chico’s 5K Fiesta
Topo Chico was a pugapoo with a big personality and tiny legs that were absolutely not made for running. He liked naps, belly rubs, and anything that didn’t involve breaking a sweat
.
But there was one thing that made him love 5K races: THE PARTY!
Every weekend, his owner signed up for a local 5K, and Topo Chico happily tagged along. Not to run, of course, but to soak up the fun
.
At the starting line, he’d wiggle his way to the front, bobbing his head to the DJ’s beats. “Ooh, that bass drop was paw-some!”
During the race, he’d trot just far enough to grab free samples—treats, snacks, sometimes even a tiny pup-sized smoothie. “Delicious and refreshing. Best sport ever!”
And at the finish line? That was the best part! Confetti! Dancing! Hoots and cheers! Topo Chico would wag his fluffy tail, throw his paws in the air, and pretend he had run the whole thing.
One day, the race announcer spotted him. “And here’s our tiniest Spectator, Topi Chico! Let’s give him a round of applause for cheering on our runners!
”
The crowd erupted in cheers, and Topo Chico puffed out his chest. He might hate running, but he loved winning at fun!
And so, every race day, Topi Chico showed up—not for the speed, but for the beats, the treats, and the joy of celebrating a finish line, without the running
