Huffy the Grumpy doodle
Huffy was a big, fluffy Bernedoodle with the grumpiest face in the neighborhood. No matter what happened, he always found something to complain about.
If the sun was shining—“Too bright.”
If the rain was falling—“Too wet.”
If his owners gave him treats—“Too crunchy.
”
One day, his neighbor, a cheerful Corgi named Poppy, invited him to the park. “Come on, Huffy! We’re playing tag!”
Huffy grumbled. “Too much running.”
“We’ll splash in the puddles!” Poppy insisted.
Huffy frowned. “Too messy.”
“We’ll roll in the grass!”
Huffy snorted. “Too itchy.
”
Poppy sighed but didn’t give up. “Then just sit in the shade with me and watch the clouds?”
Huffy paused. Shade was nice. Clouds were okay.
So, he sat next to Poppy, watching fluffy shapes drift across the sky.
“That one looks like a squirrel!” Poppy barked excitedly.
Huffy squinted. “…That one looks like a very comfortable pillow.”
And for once, he didn’t complain
